I think his point (and pardon me for being so audacious as to speak in your stead, Allan) is, if they're going to turn around and sell it, wouldn't it be the neighborly thing to do to pump it out for nothing, maybe sell the guy a new tube or tire sometime soon, and build a good client relationship? Sometimes ya get farther, faster by going slower...

'Course, if ya really need the cash that bad, maybe ya could just ask for a couple of bucks to tide ya over 'til payday.
