I use a back blade but usually use it going foreward with blade at an angle. You want to plow a wide area so when the next snow comes you won't be trying to move the previously moved, now frozen show bank. I have a loader on the front of my tractor with a wide bucket so if we have lots of snow I can pile it out of the way. A blade mounted on the front, especially if it could be angled would be neat but I use the bucket to feed cows also.
