You will get less rust and have less hassle if you just put in a 50/50 mix of prestone. Never add unless it is the 50/50 mix, then you don't have to worry. Still a good idea to check every fall though. I drain and replace every other year. I know some say to do this every year, I have seen antifreeze go for years though and nothing happen. So every other year seems a good compromise to me.
