The old 17 bee was a center fire rifle. The new 17 is a necked down 22 magnum (rim fire). So forget about the earlyer talk of reloading. It is a fast , accurate , flat shooting little caliber. The way the bullet is engineered to flatten out , gives it a lot of wollop apon impact. Quite a lot more than the 22 magnum. It out performs the 22 mag all around. When it comes to cleaning , it needs its own rod and accessories. Not fun to clean. Be carfull not to bend cleaning rod.
