Even though you feel noble about hauling for .50 per mile you are still losing your shirt, wear and tear your time fuel and insurance cost a lot more than .50 per mile. And all it would take is one mistake and you could be paying for years, but asking for 1-1.50 per loaded mile is not greedy to me just plain smart, if not nobody would be in business long.
