That ball is 2 5/16" for goose neck trailer which needs them high. The lower receiver uses a 2" or smaller ball for regular trailers pulling. The goose neck one is realy set up to move or park one easy that may be in the way. Not sure I would want to haul a load around with a trator off the top hitch other than parking or moveing it around a little. Mark H.
