I use a 50% muratic acid 50% water, Fill it full, let it set for a couple of hours then flush it very good with strong soapy water then clean water, it is best to remove the tank to do this so you can slosh it around. you can also make a nozel for your hose out of a piece of copper tubing so you can blast it good in all the nooks and crannies. I have a friend who uses orange shalic to line his fuel tanks, it costs pennies and seems to work very good.
