Just a thought but don't you think that it would be better to use a steel brace instead of chain.

Chain will only prevent expansion so one chain is holding all the weight. Where a steel brace would only hold 1/2 the weight because it would work in expansion and compression mode.

Also I have been following your post on this subject and think you have a very good working idea for a self use attachment. To sell it to others may be a different story. The court system is over run with claims on liability. It is a major problem with the small business man trying to start a business today.
