Try to find a used low profile tractor that was used for mowing. Institutions, schools, government agencies, etc. Ford had a big share of that market. They are almost indestructible, parts all over the place, will go under trees, will not tip over (they'll slide sideways first), are easy to handle, easy to fix, etc.
