Fimished welding it up just now and tested it. My tractor could not lift the M-37 up with the boom putting the load back 6 ft back from the Hitch. I had to lift it the best I could and even adding another 150 lbs more to the 300 lbs allready there to the front end I could not get the front wheels back on the ground. So I lifted it up some to strech the supenion out and put a 2 ton floor jack upder the hitch and then got the truck off the ground. It still put the load on the hitch points and the boom. So I figured the boom rated at 1,000 lbs no problem and a safty factor of over 3 times the rating. No way could a Cat 1 Tractor out lift the boom now. Not sure what it would take to bust it but more than 3K on it. The boom is around 40 lbs too not a bad lift for the weight of the steel used. Mark H.
