for me it"s the challenge. sort of like what Sloroll said. pulling that rusted hulk into the garage and driving it out a few months (or years) later, there"s nothing like it. there"s a challenge of finding that perfect machine to restore. the challenge of getting it home. the challenge of finding out what is wrong, what it will take to fix it, the search for parts. the list is endless. plus you get to meet people from all walks of life and all over the country (i guess world) doing it. i guess these things are really what makes any hobby interesting, it just happens i like old mechanical things. andy b.
