thanks to all for the replies. the lever under the seat on the right side, seems not to have any affect, we tried several different positions. there is a bolt sticking up on top of the transmission, directly under the seat, what is this used for? there is one odd thing about the lift, after cranking the tractor and raising the lift control, if you turn the steering wheel, the lift arms will come up real quickly, but this will work only the one time, until the tractor is started again. we changed and put in the kind of fluid you are reccomending. also the anti-freeze. we took off the one of the pop off caps and used a small amount of wd 40, helped a little. will look for the grease fitting. thanks again.
