Just spent a long time reading in a Googal Serch on Liability it sure sucks. I have heard about LLC set ups but not looked into them. In reading about how you can sue from the Lawyers view it is scary! Just to fight back could take you under in the process even if you were right all along. This problem covers a lot more than selling a lifting devise too. You could sell your old part off a tractor and be sued if it broke all they have to do is sue you and let the court decide. No one is realy protected from a Good Lawyer unless you have a better one and more money to fight back. Mark H.
