log splitter re-power update

don't know if anyone cares, but i thought i'd give an update on the resolution to my dead splitter engine.
the 8HP Briggs quit a week or so ago and i decided to go with a cheap used motor. i found an old New Holland snowthrower with a 1972 vintage Briggs 5HP engine in it that ran and started perfectly. i finally had time today to redo the mounting so i could fit the 5HP engine and now it runs like a champ!!!
:-) with the old 8HP i could get it to almost stall with some big knotted logs. i couldn't even get the rpms to drop on the "new" 5HP engine. compared to the half-dead 8HP this seems like about a 16HP.
