So - how do you maintain ownership of that 12" strip??? I mean, you put up a fence 1 foot back from your line, and for 20 years you use your property & the neighbors use the other side right up to your fence.... Don't you lose the foot of property? It's not wide enough to even push a mower on, so you can't 'maintain' it or use it or anything.... Just curious how those 2 laws work together - stay back 1 foot, but you have to maintain your property as yours - how to protect that one foot? --->Paul
