Why do people think that they have the right to climb all over your tractor ? At a car show the same people wouldn't even think of it. Adults are worse than the kids at getting up on and fiddling with everything.This could cause an injury because these old tractors will start in gear and don't have keys to remove.
Ask first ! I will be more than willing to let you sit on it and maybe even run it. I don't put up a sign I put caution tape around them if I'm not around and most people and kids respect that.
