I can't speak for the tractor show crowd now wanting to talk to the owner of the machine, but those that don't ought to take a lesson from us car nuts. I went to the Good Guys show Sunday and talked cars with many of the owners. Myself I'm the proud owner of two 55 Chevy 2dr 210 series wagons, one unrestored and the other restored in the late 80's, wrecked in a towing accident in the early 90's, and now sitting til life finishes throwing itself at me.....Anyway like any show there were the cars that had tens of thousands of dollars invested and the owners that didn't want anybody touching it. Even though I don't always understand where their coming from I respect their right to do whatever they want with their car, and there were some beautiful examples at the show. I can tell you though what really made the day was the guy that let my boy set in his flamed '55 Chevy while I took his pic. The car was a "driver" and it wasn't perfect by any means, but in a kids eyes it's a chance of a lifetime that will influence them in ways we probably don't even realize. I can only imagine going to a show myself where nobody wanted to talk to each other, and EVERYTHING was look but don't even think about touching.....I wouldn't want to go back to a place like this, so I know a kid wouldn't. So, make sure you set the kid on or at least supervise the parent that does, make sure their not gonna fall off, and snap away with the pics. The kids will look back on that and smile and have a whole different outlook about how nice farmers are instead of thinking their all a bunch of cantankerous old coots....Just my .02

It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro
