I have been using 15w40 diesel engine oil in everything, including the lawn mowers, for the past twenty five years and have not yet had any engine problems related to lubrication. I do not know the author of the article but do know that he and the others that take the time to contribute to this site help make it a very enjoyable place to spend the evening.
