The separate forum thing is a good idea but it doesn't work for one main reason. Those that post those political/controversial topics only get attention when they invade a location where they're not supposed to be. They are like a virus ... isolated and away by themselves they are harmless and do nothing, but get them into a living, breathing body cell (like a tractor talk forum) and they can wreak havoc. So in my opinion, that is why they appear here and not in their own category. Too bad but I guess it's human nature, many of us seek constant attention throughout life.
