I read the story somewhere on the guys they hired and the amount of money that was paid and will be paid in pensions by OPG.

Our government has to make a decision by the end of this year wether or not they are going to refurbish the plant. The coal plant was supposed to be done at the end of this year but got a 5 year extension providing "nothing major breaks down".

The contractors we hire for our ice plugs were telling us that they couldn't believe we could go in the reactor building in civies. Like you said rubber areas in other plants. I have actually sat on the floor doing testing on airlocks in civies and never got crapped up.

NB power just hired one of the lads from pickering to give input on our refurbishment so we do not make the same mistakes and cost over runs. I doubt they will ever build a second unit here.

Aecl does do our feeder tube inspections and replacements down here.
