I grew up with Belgians (dad was a veterinarian) Those old girls were great because you knew 5 min before they got their leg up to kick. If you didn't notice.....
There is a great documentary made by some friends of mine and PBS called "When We Farmed with HOrses" There is a young, with hair, Sloroll in it too. If you like draft animals it is really good to see and see how all that old fence row iron used to work.
