Does the 3000 you are looking at have Select-O-Speed? If so, does it work properly? If it is working like it should, fine. If not, that tractor is best left to an expert. The WD-45 is a good old tractor, simple, reliable, easy to work on and awkward to drive. It does NOT have "independent" pto but it does have a form of "live" pto. All Ford Select-o-Speeds have independent pto. Gear drive models may or may not have live pto. Either live or independent is a definite advantage when doing pto work in the field.
