Any saw, or any other tool for thast matter, should be sharpened in exactly the shape it was filed or sharpened from the factory. This is achieved by making sure that the entire surface of the filed portion of tooth is totally touched by the file on the first stroke. I sharpen my hand powered crosscut saws which I use in competetion. Also remember that all saws uswd in cutting wood need "set" in them. I will give more information by E-Mail if you request.
