Rick, I own 2 cubs myself, and really like them for my use (mowing, light plowing, gradign, etc.). For hauling much wood in rough terrain they are a little light though. A cub without wheel weights will run aobut 1400 pounds and it doesn't take a very big load of wood to outweigh you and create a problem on hills or if the ground is muddy. You are correct about the 6 mph ground speed.
