the meteor is light duty compared to the normand I have,although normand sells an econor blower that is somewhat lighter.I found that you were pushing snow as well as blowing it,and it always left a pile of snow when you stoped.The normand literaly eats it and leaves nothing.However,it never gave much trouble,replaced the chain and one bearing in 14 no it was 17 years and I moved alot of snow not just my own.good luck shopping
