Flywheel Position -HELP

Can someone please help.
I'm putting my 8n engine back together and I need
some advice. I can't find any marks on my new crank for position of flywheel. I put the flywheel on. With the timing mark lined up on zero is the #1 cylinder supposed to be top dead center. Just trying to be sure so I won't be 180 degrees out. I bought a manual from the tractor shop where I live but It leaves out a lot. I found it says for the experenced mechanic.I don't want to wait two to three weeks for a better manual. Thanks Kelley
