I have never used the cable type chains, although I have seen them. Look OK I guess. One thing that does woek well on Semi's though, is the air operated drop down chains. The milk trucks use them around this area, as they have to go in some bad areas at times, and then out on good highway. Driver just hits a switch, and drops the 4 sets down, and cross chains fly out under the wheels. Pretty slick, but pricey. Not an option for a pickup though. Just a thought...
