Blading Snow - Yes or No

My only option for snow removal is a 7 ft blade. Would you guys blade the snow or leave it on the drive? My brother is under the belief that blading causes more harm than good in that blading it builds up the sides which will lock in melting snow to freeze and cause the driveway to ice up.

I live outside of Kansas City and snow fall is usually light.

Any tips or recommendations on maintaining the driveway throughout the winter would be appreciated.
