Working on equipment for a living I see this all the time. It has always amazed me that someone will let what would be a simple repair go because "it isn't a major problem" or because "they don't have the money to fix it right now". Problem is they keep using the machine and the problem gets worse and worst til it's no longer so simple to fix and/or the machine just plain stops working right when they need it most. Then I get a call and they get a really big bill for a major repair...then want to bit-- and grumble about it costing so much to fix "a simple problem". Happens all the time, and I've yet to find a real reason beyond plain old stupidity. Just my .02
