I took the coupler apart, at least part way, to see what I could see. By the way, there is a number 6051 (I think...hard to read) cast into the coupler. There are about 8 wedge shaped bars that appear to be under tremendous spring pressure in the hub part, and they engage into recesses in the outer part. It locks up about as tight as a bank vault door. Now I am wondering if these things come in different sizes for different size machines. I think I have something that is maybe made for something much bigger than my Farmall 100 and 4 foot mower. Either that or the design just sucks. Either way, it's not doing the job. I think I am going to try to find something different. Can anyone recomment a brand and part number of an over-running coupler that actually turns easy in the over-run direction?
