Russ,my dad owns a 4' bush hog made by modern equipment.I'm not sure if it could stand much of the 2" brush cutting you speak of though.You may be able to contact a local implement dealer and get the skinny on gear box H.P.ratings and abilities of hydrualic motors.Wonder if you might check on hiring someone to cut it then keep it sprayed.Just a few thoughts,have a good day.
