You've got to be kidding me, where did you learn your civics? All it takes is a judge to say that the constitution did not mean regular citizens, just army. Look at the states and citys that have already banned certain guns.
I agree that a citizen does not have a need to walk into a store and buy a .50 full auto, without a good background check. But in California you can't buy a .380 semi auto with a 3" barrel to keep in the night stand of your bedroom, because you live next door to a crack house. Not legally, not with a waiting period, not if have 3 purple hearts and a bronze star presented by Truman himself. The constitution says you can, but a judge says you can't.
The constitution is a piece of paper that the judges Kerry would appoint will use to wipe their a$$ with.
