Not trying to be in denial, but the link shown here, shows a "rollover test" being performed, comparing an 8N Ford and a JD "A"--- if you"ll look, it appears to be an apples and oranges comparison, since the Ford is being tested in neutral, and the JD is in 6th gear----there"s no indication of actual speed of the 2, but, I"m assuming the JD is operating under full power. According to my operator"s manual, that would put the old Deere running at about 12 mph + downhill, making a turn---- hopefully not a "real world" situation! That the tractor turned over should hardly come as a surprise... As has been stated before, it"s as much personal preference as anything else. While the wide front would certainly seem to be more stable, the narrow or tricycle front shouldn"t scare you, if you"re careful, pay attention to what you"re doing, speed, etc---- common sense that should be used any time you"re operating machinery.... Yeah, I have an old "A", but I"m not touting how wonderful it is, just saying that I"ve mowed, pulled a disk, etc, but everything I decide to do, I make oprerating the tractoir the ONLY thing I"m thinking about....

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
