Yup, I have no use for dealers like that. I've run into several.

However... We have one dealer locally that refuses to look and see if other dealers have a part that he doesn't. Even though he's much closer to me, I won't use him anymore. Twenty miles away there's a Chevy dealer that I use. If he doesn't have the part, he PRINTS a list of dealers in the area that has it. Chevy, Pontiac, Cadillac, whatever. Is it worth the drive? You bet. Will I buy another car from him? You bet.

It's amazing to me how dealers screw their customers who never go back to that dealer again. I guess there's enough new buyers to keep all of the dealers in business. For now. Wait until the economy really gets bad and then see which ones are still around.
