I would say the Allis, more Allis around than Farmall A, transmission is 3 speeds foward in both, depending on age of Allis could have hydrolics and I WOULD NEVER CONSIDER a tractor that had a 12 volt conversion, you read all the post and see all the trouble people have with them, the most common problem on any make or model tractor on this board, either one if in good condition will start right off with the 6 volt system and 12 volt light are not any brighter than 6 volt ones as some argue for conversion
