Ted, I agree with Jon...there is a restriction of flow to your steering control unit....or if it has a steering pump, the pump is not pumping enough fluid. Sometimes a pressure hose can come loose inside and wad up...restricting the flow. That has happened to me twice...and was real hard to find the first time. Check the return line from the steering control unit. It could be restricted as well and would have the same effect on your power steering.
