OCB......Most starter bushings have been made to where they have oil already compressed in them to help with lubrication over the many times of use. You will know them because they are brass (which most to all are) and they will have lines in them that are staggered with spaces in them. If the bushings in this one are straight brass then I used plain ole gun grease if nothing else was around or use the white grease that a person is to rebuild engines with. The white grease is nothing more than whipped oil. It will eventually breakdown with heat to it but the majority of the oil will still stay in the bearing (bushing). I'm assuming when you say model 50 you mean a 50 series I.E. 4250, 4450, 4650, 4850, so on and so forth. I hope this helps. It has been a long time since I rebuilt a starter so I'm kinda having a hard time remembering the bearing kit that they had. Good luck!!!
