I believe, if I"m not mistaken, in the state of Ohio that if they"re cut in two...they can be hauled to the landfill. I haven"t read the law on this but the fellow down the road that owns an auto wrecking yard bought a machine that pushes the rim out of the tire and the other end cuts the tire in two and this is the story that he told me. He said he had 14000 wheels to do. (est.) The last time I went to the landfill, they charged me one cent a pound for dumping...small ton dump truck load...$66.01. Even if a semi tire weighed a hundred pounds it would still be only $1 and that sounds cheap to me. Fred OH
