By the way Allan, can you tell me how you check the oil in a 1940 Farmall M? I know the little petcock thingys on the pan have something to do with it, but if you are facing south, do they turn clockwise or counterclockwise, and it you are south of the equater, is it reversed? These questions have plagued me for a long time now. And hypothetically, once these are open and oil is dripping out, is this also how you fill it back up with oil, and if so, where do you get the syringe to squirt the oil in through that little hole.
