I have been driving an '03 GMC 1/2 ton ext. cab for a little over a year now.when shopping for truck I tried my best to get a 5.3L, but this truck showed up at a cheaper price with the 4.8L that I had to take a chance. I am NOT AT ALL disappointed in it's performance. Strong running/pulling truck, have approx 32,000 on it and very happy I didn't spend the extra $$$ on a 5.3L.
