What they are really trying to do is eliminate their competition from USED equipment. They would prefer that it got scrapped, and dont think for a minute the corporate brains wouldnt like to eliminate your Ford 8N, John Deere A, Farmall M, etc, etc etc. Yanmar is so spoiled at this that they will not knowingly sell parts for a gray market tractor and are prosecuting dealers who are just selling a USED tractor! I kinda suspect the idea is to kill the market for some of these foreign tractors, then the company steps in, buys them for next to nothing, retrofits them with a few safety devices and floods the market themselves. Their arguments dont hold up, these are older machines and the buyers should be aware they do not meet "current" specs, and there are NO warranty concerns anyways. Be aware of the nature of the companies you deal with!
