i have a "95 with 190,000 miles and i just got done putting the first pump in it. i took it to gm to have diagnosed for $70 and then pulled it home and put it in myself. pulled the old one and sent it to a local diesel shop and they rebuilt it for $800. they had it done the same day and i bought the gaskets at gm for $30 put the pump back in and took it back to gm to time it, another $100. it took about 2hrs. to pull and 2 1/2hrs. back in. over all cost $1000 and two nights of my time, not bad considering gm wanted $2500 and a week to do the job!
