Leaking could be anything. Loose fitting maybe? My Deere was leaking because the privious owner split it to change the clutch. When he put back together, he took two long bolts that had to hold the power steering unit on, and used them where two short bolt should"ve gone, so transmission wasn"t tight. Luckily, when I put the four bolts where belonged, all worked out. Was scared it was a main seal.

Point is that it may not be anything serious. Park it somewhere clean, and let set. See where the drops fall and then luck up for them.

As for what hydraulic fluid to use, check the manual. I got a 5 gallon bucket of "Traveller Universal Hydraulic Fluid" from TSC (Tractor Supply). They also come in 2 gallon. Deere requested that it met Deere J2A or J2B standard, this stuff was J2A, B, and C as well as for other makes.

Gator, if I were you, I"d post on the Massey board to ask what type (standard) is needed. Maybe the same stuff will work. Probably will, but may not.

Oh, by the way, I still have a leaky fitting going into one of my loader cylinders, but isn"t bad. Gets worse when fluid gets warm (thinner). For that, I just need to open up and replace an O-ring. Is ok for now, will fix when get time.
