i was in on the other one too,but i can't see anything about the tragedy that is the same as the other thread. with todays computers in the transportation companies, once you are late a couple of times you get a little check by your name. once you get 2 or 3 you don't need to worry about being late no more as you will not get a load, now if you get a couple of stars next to your name you will get loaded anytime you want. truckers have more on the table than most others on the road, not to mention that if the trucker in this case would have been american and in a car he would be sitting at home waiting for trial. the trucking industry is a tough one to figure out, they send 16 year old kids out on the road without ever mentioning a truck in all of drivers ed. i grew up on MN hwy 7,which is a major hwy between minneapolis/st paul MN and watertown sd. i learned at a young age not to play with trucks just from the mistakes of others. dart transit has a nifty little video that they could show at drivers ed that would probably open alot of eyes. most of the truckers i know would take themselves out before they would chance a child,no sense a child getting killed over a parents stupidity. in this case the trucker is clearly at fault to one degree or another.
