Very sorry to hear about your father passing away. If you still have the three John Deere's, I may be interested. Please email me, and I'll try to get in touch with you. I have family living in College Station so we could have him take a look at them. I am not an expert on John Deere, but I do not think there are any "A's" that were built that were diesels. Does this tractor have 3 point hitch? Jim
