Yeah, I'd have to see an elk kill a dog and eat it's stomach to believe it, let alone a dog stupid enough to stand there while an elk stomped him to death. But, stranger things have probably happened. I would also think that an elk would be pretty hard-pressed to rip open a dogs stomach with teeth made for grazing. And a dog's stomach would be less than a bite for an elk at any rate.
