Lynn, I ain't a lawyer, and I don't play one on teevee, but I'm guessing that a good legal case could be made that you own the tractor. If it's been abandoned in the other fellow's barn for decades, and if she knew it was there and if they didn't have a written agreement otherwise, I'd suspect she gave up her claim to it. Kind of like adverse possession, though that term normally applies to real estate. Now, that said, I suspect it would cost you a bundle in attorney fees to prove it, or to defend yourself against her attorney trying to prove otherwise.
