Cracked heads are somewhat common on the 560 due to the years (decades) of heating and cooling and sometimes shutting down without a proper cool down idle. They are also somewhat hard to start and some people never figured out that glow plug useage was required on every startup, so they resorted to either and that is VERY hard on the entire engine.

Hopefully you only have a leaky head gasket - good luck.
