Everyones point is valid. Electronic works better with hotter spark and the benefits that go along with it, longer plug life, a little more power, less problems with misfire from moisture and fouling. Until it burns out, than it's more expensive to repair and trouble shoot.

Points work, must be changed and adjusted regularly, along with shorter plug life. They are cheaper and easier to repair. They keep the tractor original--is that important to you? I would agree--is the cost worth the benefits? Thats how i would decide.
