Us corn farmers are better off with the ethanol plants than without it. Anyone who believed it was _the_ answer was silly. But it's a part of the whole picture. I welcome the biodiesel as well, from soybeans. It won't make me rich, but it may keep me from going broke. Lots of farmers around me own stock in the many ethanol plants here. Another one is being preposed, they are selling shares. I believe close to the 20th in the state? Only one went under do to crooked management. The rest have good & bad periods depending upon corn & fuel prices, but long-term they have paid out to the coop owners a nice sum & also slightly increase the basis of corn in the region they are located in. To me, that is good business. I'm not sure what the grip is from some of you? --->Paul
